Well, they help for a couple of reasons. It shows strength in the company. Strengh=confidence=more people buying=increase in share price. Look what happened to the share price right after the news. Up .20!! The split allows people to afford more shares while the current holders get more shares (triple in this case). Usually after the split, the stock will start rising again to where it was before. Right after it splits, I'll buy a bunch more and watch my money double within weeks.
This stock is a gem. I'm willing to bet it will be over $10 within 2 years.
