Would turning plastic into diesel suffice?:

Nasa Tapes: Company Revenue from tape reading - $23K/Day

Revolutionary 100% Data Recovery. Sole Sourced by NASA, MIT, etc, because No One else can do it.

Plastic2Oil:

1 Kilo (2.2 pounds) of plastic yields 1 liter of fuel, and was expected to take 4 hours to process. The actual time it takes in the prototype machine is 15 minutes.

15 metric tons of plastic are expected to take less then 2 hours to process.

The first Large production machine arrived August 24. Assembly takes 3 weeks.

Approximately 8 pounds of plastic yields a gallon of Diesel type Fuel.

While this prototype machine is condensing the oil into water, the production machine will use a commercial condenser to produce the fuel.

Gas from the output of the machine will supply power to run the machine itself, hence there is no energy input to the process.

As you can see, the fuel coming out is very pure, and can actually be run in an engine as is.
