CACI/Sealift Command $70mm contract

Sealift Command gets logistics, engineering support
Indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract worth up to $70 million

CACI International Inc. will furnish technical and engineering support for the Navy’s Military Sealift Command under a contract worth $70 million over seven-and-a-half years.

Under the contract, CACI will provide the Military Sealift Command with integrated logistics and engineering system development support services, company officials said today. The services cover shipboard and shore-based operations.

The contract award marks an expansion of CACI’s business with the Military Sealift Command to include a significant engineering component, the officials said. The company has supported the command for nearly two decades.

The Military Sealift Command delivers supplies and conducts specialized missions on behalf of the U.S. Navy around the globe. It furnishes sealift and ocean transportation and also operates tankers for fuel transport cargo ships that transport equipment, vehicles and supplies.

CACI, of Arlington, Va., announced earlier this month that it had won an $18 million contract modification to provide engineering and technical support for the Navy’s shipboard self-defense system.
