Could the missing con be stored near the railroad prior to shipment? Con comes off the line and has to be temporarily placed on site, where it dries further. Then what? Trucks come and take it somewhere. Rather than assume a convoy of trucks is crossing the country, it may be that a small number of trucks take it to some storage/hopper by the tracks to be loaded into train cars. This would be consistent with Walt not knowing exactly then the shipment was, and with the statement(by whom?) that it was taken away in trucks. Its exact location might well be kept as secret as possible.
