A foreign country's law will not supercede an american citizen's first amendment rights. That's fact!!!

Bulllllllllllllllllllllllllshhhhhhhhhhhhh ...

As much as I believe in the First Amendment, I also know that you can't hide behind it ("Oh, I'm an American. I'm special.") and violate other countries' laws. That attitude has gotten more Americans in trouble in various countries than I care to think about. In China, for example, some of the ex-pats say that the Chinese military makes Al-Qaeda look like the boy scouts.

Before making these statements, why don't you research them? You don't have to be a lawyer to look at a few cases.

Here are all the principles rolled into one case:
Joseph Gutnick v Dow Jones - Defamation case. Publisher in U.S. (New Jersey). Australian court.

Transnational litigation involves far more than B2B contracts and disputes. It includes cases such as an Australian court asserting jurisdiction over Dow Jones & Co. when Joseph Gutnick charged that Barrons Online defamed him. Turns out that Gutnick was a crook, but he still got his case heard through transnational litigation.

It's a new world, homey.
