As a long time member of SI, I found the "Ignore" feature to be extremely useful and I would strongly urge you to adopt it at Ihub.

I also think that you should call it something other than Ignore (say like Message Filter). I think that Ignore has negative connotations - that somehow you find the ignored poster offensive. While there are cases where this is true, I also know that I (and others) have used this feature to filter out posts from very creditable people who have investment time frames or investment styles just aren't relevant to my investment style or goals.

It's a nice idea to think that every board has the nature of a virtual discussion group where everyone is heard but it's an inescapable fact that many users have limited time to read the threads so their reading by necessity must be more focussed. This is particularly true on threads that attract hundreds of posts per day. Without some way to filter these messages, keeping up with these threads can be overwhelming and the net effect will be to decrease Ihub's usefulness to a large part of its audience.
