SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Plaxico Burress, former wide receiver for the New York Giants, pleaded guilty to a lesser weapons charge after accidentally shooting himself in a Manhattan nightclub, according to the Associated Press Thursday. Burress pleaded guilty to one count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon, and agreed to a two-year prison sentence, the AP reported. Earlier in August, Burress was indicted for two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment.
