Mustang66, there are 3 P2O processes (i believe a pdf was posted in here detailing the cons and pros of each). The catalystic process does not required pre wash of plastic. The energy required (heating the plastic to a certain melting temperature) is achieved via the plastic generated gas. So it's energy free as well. This is all well known in the industry. The catch has been the chemical process. This is where trtn has an advantage.
