pretty naive view on the markets, look up ZERO BID, or better yet, TRADE SUSPENSION.....
(yep, being in the markets for 3 decades, I've had a few of those happen...but it shouldn't have been a loss, because I never actually sold, right????)
BTW, I do agree if a stock is down like 90% or more, a shareholder might as well hold on, since you already lost most of your money on paper, so its not worth selling after the damage is done....
however, averaging down is another animal, it usually isn't a good investment strategy to throw good $$$ after bad, trying to DILUTE your mistake, while simultaneously insiders will probably be issuing shares that DILUTE your stake........
