Sageofflorida knows the ins and outs of it. From what I know there were two courts, state and federal. The state court was in regards to how the decision came to be, not the decision itself. The federal court was against Ellicottville infringing upon Laidlaw's rights as a company and not being able to build on their own industrial zoned land.

I'm interested to know more if you come up with anything. Legal matters are not my forte.
