I'll tell you one area that WOULD be a killer spot for Wind Turbines, and that is Tangier Island. I have done some fishing, crabbing in that area and there is always a solid breeze blowing daily. Hampton Roads area in Virginia, which is near the mouth is also possible. One thing though, NC, VA, and Md all have spots along the waterway that is prime locations. I would say the Eastern sides of all three states would be ideal. Much greater wind velocity, unless you place them in the western ridges of the states. Not likely!
