John F. Winnick, Sr., Chairman & CEO. Mr. Winnick has been a wunderkind of Venture Capitalist with an emphasis in technological development in computers, telecommunications, and aerospace. He has extensive experience in a wide array of financial sectors including insurance, commodities, stocks, and bonds. Mr. Winnick has been a visionary, among the first to market microcomputers, satellite telecommunications, and design proprietary commercial launch vehicles as a venture capitalist in the telecommunications industry. President and Founder of Space Launch International, Inc. in 1994, he capitalized AltaTel, and Satcom in San Diego, California. At an OPEC meeting in the United Arab Emirates with Stanford University Department of Telecommunications, Mr. Winnick introduced Foss Environmental to the UAE in a critical multi-tanker oil spill disaster in the Gulf, and international funding for Space Access in the field of Wireless Low-Earth-Orbit (“LEO”) Telecommunications. Published in 1993 with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, sponsored by Lockheed Martin: “The Surflyer-Advanced Aerodynamic Lifting Body Design Single-Stage-to-Orbit (“SSTO”) Satellite Launch vehicles.” Mr. Winnick received his “O” levels from Epsom College, England, as well as attended Whittier College, San Francisco State University, and University of California at Santa Cruz.
