Volume was 53 Mil shares. The price ticked up because people were willing to pay more for it. That simple. I don't think anyone is manipulating these numbers. It show as a buy because they bought near or at the ask price. It shows as a sell because the transaction happened near the bid price. For example, let's say the Bid was .14 and the ask was .15. If the transaction happened at .144 it would be recorded as a sell. If the transaction happened at .146 it would be recorded as a buy. Still, if the prior transaction happened at .14, you would still see an uptick. That is what happened today, lots of pressure holding down the stock price but even more pulling it up. Demand outpacing supply.
