I think if they knew them and were planning something insider trading-related, the deluge of attention that this company has gotten from angry stock holders would've forced their hand. There's simply too many people threatening to scream for the SEC given the slightest inkling of impropriety for Magellen to be stupid enough to actually follow through with anything under the table.
