In my estimation it is a good plan. By the time you go through the process of bottling, marketing, labor, etc. The gains you get from selling the product directly probably isn't too much more than selling the bulk and letting other companies take on those costs.

Part of the reason why sales of products such as these aren't as great here in the U.S as they are in other parts of the world is the U.S consumer typical has the notion that only the latest, greatest science, is the only course of action for potential treatments. Other countries such as China, Hong Kong, etc, have for thousands of years relied on holistic approaches to medicine.

Ask a typical person in the U.S. what Uncaria Tomentosa aka Cat's Claw aka AC-11 is and they would probably look at you like you were dumb. On the other hand people overseas have probably heard of it and maybe even use it.

What I can tell you is that it is fairly expensive in it's oral form, about $1 a pill if you buy from Solgar. But people will pay for something if they think it gives them benefits.
