The systems are designed with advanced ASCO transfer switches that will automatically turn on the engine generators if a loss of power is experienced.

The generators, manufactured by MTU Onsite Energy, are 35Kw clean burning, Tier 3 EPA certified, diesel engine generator systems. They are housed in steel, weatherproof and hurricane proof (rated at 150 mph winds) enclosures and are outfitted with fuel tanks that allow the systems to run up to 72 hours at 100% load. Each system has automatic transfer switches which will provide monitoring for Florida Power & Light, the local utility. If there is a loss of utility power, the switch will send a signal to start the generator and provide critical back up power within 10 seconds.
