Not being in the oil game, I was unaware that there was sub/pre salt drilling going on anywhere other than offshore Brazil. Is the technology thus that most majors could do such drilling? Is the seismic technology such that worldwide targets are being evaluated? I know someone posted on the new software for such evaluation but forgot the details re: same. Is Petrobas far ahead of other majors in this type of drilling or are all about the same in knowledge and being able to drill same?

What is your take on possible EEZ sub-salt? Would majors do any of this kind of surveying prior to the EEZ auction to get this kind of data? Could they do it without anybody else knowing they are doing such data gathering?

Any input on this subject would be appreciated.
