Huh? All trades require a marketmaker. You can't walk into Wal-Mart and put a 100 shares of MSFT in your cart. That goes for long trades and for short trades.

Look, for the 5th time. A marketmaker in a penny stock is trading for a client. It doesn't make a difference if the client wants to go long or short. Obviously, you think otherwise, which is just fine with me.
