"It has come to our attention that a fake press release has been posted on a blog site announcing a merger between Smokefree Innotec, Inc. and Medical Marijuana, Inc. That alleged press release was dated Thursday, August 6th, 2009 at 4:20 a.m., and suggests that Smokefree Innotec, Inc. is the source of the press release.
"Our corporate counsel has initiated a thorough investigation of this incident and will take decisive legal action upon conclusion of that investigation. Upon our inquiry, it was determined that Business Wire did not issue said press release and is investigating as well.
"Both the content of that fake press release and its wording give away its malicious and disparaging intention; the law however requires that we bring this false and misleading information to the attention of the investment community.
"In the case that you have made an investment decision based on that fake press release described above, we strongly urge you to investigate further and reconsider that decision.
