Bena's take on Brown PR Very nice!!
Brown Printing Company has launched B.Mobile.

What is the Brown Printing Company?
B.Mobile integrates products from Brown’s sister company Prinovis and NeoMedia Inc. to provide a total solution package. B.Mobile provides the ability to optimize websites for the mobile phone display, adaptation of content for mobile internet, and statistical reporting on scanning activity. Code management tools provide the ability to change and update content linked to barcodes at any time, so printed pieces become interactive and dynamic. The mobile barcodes provide a reliable response tracking mechanism that helps measure success and allow campaigns to be adapted in real-time.

The service highlights?
This is an instant mobile barcode solution to optimise websites with a tracking service included.

What we think?
Minutes earlier we were highlighting chief competitor to NeoMedia, Scanbuy’s efforts in mobile barcode innovation. But reading this press release it seems that NeoMedia, under the umbrella of B.Mobile and a partnership with Prinovis will be doing something similar.

Scanbuy launched two services a white label of its Scanlife service and an instant mobile optimisation platform for making existing content mobile. B.Mobile does this too. But with a slight twist to what Scanbuy is doing it will make all content instantly interactive with tracking not just for the mobile site but for each individual content on the fly and this directly from the source (Brown Printing).

So, welcome to the real world. I had been slightly worried that after winning the patent war, NeoMedia would have turned the flames down and rubbed its hands for cash. But, recently when i posed this question to Iain McCready CEO of NeoMedia he denied it and said, innovation was forth coming.

This is now evident. The strategy is slightly different to the Scanbuy go it alone ethic and it seems that team work and collaboration will be NeoMedia’s market principle. You can hardly blame NeoMedia for this strategic collaboration stance when you look at how large the company was and where it intends to go.

It might harbour beliefs of grandeur – but can you blame NeoMedia. It has had a tough two years, where it found itself on its knees but finally the epic recovery is on its way. More innovation such as this will make for a strong and solid barcode environment.
