I found your statement, "whether it is coincidence or not," to be the real question.
I have not followed bible codes closely, but I'm sure we have all seen references to political figures and recent events found in bible codes.
I also agree with tenac, that God provides straightforward answers to our more important need - how to get back into a relationship with Him....and the best ways to live our lives in order to maintain and grow in our relationships.
When the bible code topic came up on this site, I asked myself what I believed...and I really wasn't sure until I read your reply. Is it a coincidence? Hmmm. Well, I have never believed in coincidence or chance. Although I do believe in the law of probabilities. So I ask the group here, what are the probabilities that these public figures and events throughout history, would be found in bible codes?
I'm seeing it almost like DNA. We don't NEED to know the DNA of say...wheat for it to nourish our bodies. But knowing the DNA may help us with other unrelated problems in the future.
And one thing I know about God is that He always has more for us. So many things are still a mystery to us: the human body, the brain, the universe, the power in water, etc. God keeps revealing to us, and so I wouldn't put it past Him to reveal things in bible codes. Not that it is a game or that He is trying to hold anything back from us. But as He reveals new technologies, it is like perpetual motion and reveals new things in other areas.
