dilt1: Re: "Forget about the technology. Its irrelevant."

It is not irrelevant to me. I originally invested in NVEI because they had acquired a technology from New Wheel Technology called Cu@OCx that purportedly could do 52Mbps at 9000 feet over copper. I have stuck with them since then because I believed that they were developing that technology. Propp and Greaves both commented on this "exciting technology" when they came on board. This is the technology that was verified by Lucent. When Al and Mike were released we were assured by the company (not through public channel, but through the "network") that the technology was sound.

Now, they give the technology back. I do not mean to be rude, but, I think you are completely wrong. The technology is very relevant. I know that you say that there are several ways to solve the problem. But, there are *many* companies spending *much* more money that NVEI with *many* times the resources dedicated to improving bandwidth. If all NVEI is doing is looking for another solution, then they are competing with some fierce competitors. I invested here because they claimed that they already *had* a solution. Now, they no longer own what they told us they had.

Are they now just another DSL chipset manufacturer? I don't know, but if so, that market is pretty saturated. What exactly *is* the company now? What exactly *is* the technology?

Before anyone tells me to call the company, let me say that I will not do that again. I can make up my own doublespeak answers. Calling the company does me no good. I have, however, written a formal letter to Cooper expressing my discontent and the reasons why. I specifically stated that I did not want a private answer. I want the things that this comapny is doing to be a matter of public record, like it should be.

Don't get me wrong. I still believe in the company. Better put, I believe in Cooper and Ketch. I have zero faith in Ray or John. Maybe it is naive of me, but I still think that they would not have come aboard if there were not *something*.

I suspect that Al and Mike had something, but could not make it work in the state it was in. I suspect that Propp and Greaves were able to mold it into something that will work. I further suspect that Al and Mike were given the technology back and the shares returned because the technology could not work in the state that Al and Mike presented it.

Those are some of the things I suspect. However, as an investor who has put, what is for me, a quite large sum of money into this company, I would very much like to *know* what I invested in. I have no real clue right now, only educated guesses. As I have said before, it is high time that this company opened its lines of communication with its shareholders and began telling the truth.

If it sounds like I have gone to the dark side, I haven't. I still support the company and believe in Cooper and Ketch. Nonetheless, I know that some of you will write me off. Others will tell me to stop "whining". Some may even label me a "basher". I will probably lose my chat privileges. So be it. I don't need fair-weather friends. I do know, however, that many of you are as frustrated as I am.
