Although tech analysis has become a popular way to predict market moves.It has its main justification in the field of psychology:that is, self-fulfilling prophecy.Because many traders trade according to the rules of tech analysis and computer programs give buy and sell signals based on that theroy ,the market is assumed to move to the principles of tech analysis.Due to its heuristic nature tech analysis can hardly be proven mathematically.Consequently,the proof has to be empirical.it is surprising though that the rigorous empirical testing of tech analysis is not more widespread.
