I had never heard of him either and I don't remember who recommended this book to me. He just strikes me as someone who has become disillusioned with the church (like many of us) and decided to believe the words in the bible. It seems like there are two types of christians.....those who think "I'm saved and that's all there is to this life until I go to heaven God will use special people to do His work here," and then there are those who think " God has chosen me to be a history maker and I believe I will do greater things than Jesus did." There is a wide divide between the two.
