Recently unearthed memos paint less that an "honorable" picture of the War turned Peace President's guard service. I think we have a goose and gander situation here.
One could argue that at least Kerry served in combat, and when he returned offered what he believed to be honest commentary on what was a very controversial war during equally turbulent times.
Odd though, the war turned peace president seemed to shirk his guard responsibility, and today he refused to be held accountable for controversial Iraq war. With Dubya, the buck always stops somewhere else. Be it "intelligence failure," poor planning, etc, the blame is always passed.
