Cd's were overpriced at $20 or more, and the people felt they were being ripped off. The pirates moved in and made a killing.

The record companies new releases with copy protection will earn more money then before. Breakeven analysis [ or how can I earn the most money by pricing the product properly] this process can now proceed logically because of copy protection.
