Frankly, I would name this IDF a "disaster". Last time AMD was first with 1 Ghz Intel paper-launched it few days after and released 3 months later.

This time Intel didn't even paper-launch anything (let ignore Montecito, it has nothing to do with AMD). No P4, no Xeon, nada.

I was expecting at least dual-core Dothan successor. Nope, not even that one.

Nada.

Edit: apparently they will announce dual-core Yonah tomorrow. Good for them. Apparently P4 had hit the brick wall indeed, so the low-Ghz but dual-core Yonah will replace it. Well, Intel has to teach people that "Mhz is not important" now until it's too late.
