Happy Labor Day Booze Question to All!

Years ago I acquired the taste for tequila. Then I was introduced to a Long Island Iced Tea.

Shortly after (mid 90's) I was able to buy a pre-mixed version of the tea. Except, it did not include Tequila. A few years later, a new mix came out and that did include tequila - they continued to sell the non-tequila version.

Well a couple of months ago, I was back in the liquor store and for whatever reason, the tequila version does not exist anymore.

So the question I pose to you all..
Can anyone see a reason why I should not be able to create my own mix with just the base liquors? None of them "expire" so to speak, so I figure I am safe.

The mix is comprised of:

Tequila
Rum
Vodka
Gin
Triple Sec

Visit this site for Long Islands and variations..

Happy Labor day all!
