let's not put words into Ak's mouth. The bad side : the money promised is "almost "
sufficient to do everything they need to do. It's impossible to know how much money they need to do what, but it is clear it may not be enough to do everything they need to do. Let's hope it;s enough for a 7 country launch. Ak is giving us warning that the money is not in the bank, but at least he wants to keep us n the loop. The good side : "These people have previously delivered. And delivered. " Whoever is promising money now, has delivered in the past. So at least the odds are with us that the backer has kept his promise in the past. We are not out of the gates yet. It's all fine an dandy that AK has eloquently addressed everyones thoughts, but bottom line is the situation has not altogether changed. Next week will determine whether a launch date can be fixed, which will be determined by whether or not the backer keeps their' promise. I don't want to sound like a sour puss, but it is well known that one of the major problems with funding in the past is money has been promised but falls through at the last second. He hints at it here " Because even if you add plenty of extra time to account for the unexpected, you can never accommodate a massive delay or a completely broken promise."
I think in some ways he is talking directly to the backer, and saying you have done good in the past, but please, please , please come through for us again.
