Targacept’s TC-5214 Achieves All Primary and Secondary Outcome Measures in Phase 2b Trial as Augmentation Treatment for Major Depressive Disorder

It seems to be very good news on the surface. However, I'm curious about the one seizure deemed related to the study drug (i.e., citalopram and/or TC-5214). I would assume that "and/or" is pretty critical to this story. I am curious if citalopram (Celexa) is known to cause seizures on its own. If so, perhaps the seizure is not attributable to TRGT's drug, TC-5214. Otherwise, this could be a big drawback for the drug.
