He has had a winning formula - up to now. Teaming up with MS and Intel are old school agreements. Nowadays AMD/Intel performance is tied and OS wise - well that I see limited - I think Microsoft still is king and will be so for some time to come. With MS's dominant Office, I really really can't see Linux as competent desktops taking off.
I have no idea if Dell can re-tool and sell non-Intel/MS stuff in China - you would hope he didn't sign his soul away like Bart.
But you and I probably agree - he probably did. And now he is royally farked.
Then again, are you telling me he can't take over a few China companies and keep them as a separate company outside the Dell fold?
