They absolutely MUST offer an incentive...it would be B.S.not to!

At least 26 members of the management team have jumped ship already (better opportunities elsewhere with MORE assurances & incentives). Chemtura had to stop the brain drain and also needed to reel in some high caliber talent, hence the need for an incentive plan.

Chemtura plans to emerge successfully from Chap 11. but in order to do so, they need quality personnel at the helm.

You attract high caliber personnel via juicy incentive options. Otherwise your competitors snap up all the good talent...you gotta pay to play!
