Just becuase they signed on does not mean they will use it. You and I do not know the royalty that EVRM wants for each piece of equipment that is sold. If they want too much EDS will use someone elses technology. I know a little about this because I dealt with CD technology sold to GM and was involved a little on how this works. The large companies can trade off the use of their technology for one from another and avoid paying the royalties for the technology. This is done all of the time behind close doors. (e.g. Panasonic lets Sony use one of their patents in exchange for getting to use one of Sony's and neither pays a royalty) EVRM has no leverage here to do that so we have to try and figure out what the cost is and if it is too high. Business is business and the best technology does not always win when it comes to cost.
Please advise if you have worked in royalty area - you might know more than me and I would like to learn more ecause this is a very secret area.
