Well said Silversmith

While NeoMedia is laying off, Big in Japan has 40 FT employees and is hiring a senior i-Phone Developer in the greater Dallas area. They are growing their server farms fast and furious and have enlisted 20,000 retailers to date to join in ShopSavvy's 1-d bar code ecosystem buildout. They are forming partnerships at an agressive rate. If you don't think GOOG's ShopSavvy is a formidable rival, then please read here starting with July and working backwards:

Just think, there are over 4Bil. 1-d barcodes in the global marketplace today. Thats alot of product and thats alot of scanning opportunity....which brings me to my next querry. Does ShopSavvy breach NeoMedia's patents? BR believes so and so do many other industry heavy weights. "I like the simplicity of shopsavvy - but I do think some patents are being breached there..."

With the recent actions taken by NeoMedia to reduce costs, cut salaries, lay off employees, relieve YA of all past transgressions, free the IP default, plus YA's elimination of 400Mil. warrants, elimination of the 3rd $4Mil. tranche and subsequent bridge loans on the heels of the favorable PTO 048 patent validadtion, the fact that no warrants were included in the most recent debentures and the glaring T&C in Iain McCready's contract to earn up to $5Mil. for a sale of NeoMedia and his share structure all combine to tell me that we have an eminent sale or partnership arrangement under foot.

That said, it is not in YA's physical make up to build companies. They are a financier who have $40Mil. plus invested and wish to seek a return with profit on that money. By the way, how many software developers does NeoMedia now employ? Two and they both work from home PT. IMHO, NeoMedia does not have the ways, means or in-house resources to take this to the very next level. A firm like MSFT does, and that is who needs to step up to the plate if a company like GOOG is going to be equally matched and challenged in the PWC gold rush.

All the Best, JP
