fuagf, I am quite sure there are few better places in the world to see the glory of July 4th Fireworks celebrations than my condo rooftop just west of downtown Chicago. Sitting on the rooftop, we can see seven neighborhood shows all within ten-twelve blocks at the most. They all started around 8:30 and three were still going all the way past 10:00. Beauty in every direction and knowing and a tear in the eye knowing the signifigance of the fireworks themselves. Yes, the USA is a great country and will always be!
That being said, I could not fight off the thought that my children may never be able to witness such magnificent displays. It was quite clear that these fireworks were releasing carbons into our skies above, which got me wondering, how long before the far left decides to either tax these shows out of existence, or ban them all together?
