Bush and the election - Commie Views..
Was listening to some commie propaganda yesterday on CIUT FM.
Basically a communist from Trinidad was stating how Castro and Cubans were a catalyst in ridding South Africa of Apartheid.
Next up was a freelance journalist - stating what could happen on Nov 2. That if we see the likes of NH fall out of the hands of the GOP, the Whitehouse could generate a Terrorist Red Alert across the US. This would force the closure of the bridges on the west coast - such as Kalee-forn-ee-a and that would hurt the Dems. ..On and on went the scenario..
I have trouble with that - since I would believe those states would hand over the electoral votes into the Dems hands anyways... each state is different though - don't believe CA is a "prorated" electoral...
The other, more interesting slant was on the Cubans in Flordia. As many may know already Washington has made it difficult for family members to visit Cuba - rules on what they take and how long they can stay, and the frequency of the visits. (My take was very little; very short; very infrequent). The blurb on the radio was that the newer generation of American born cuban's is really don't believe in the embargo and the overall treatment of Cuba - they are not siding with older generation.
I don't really know enough about Cuba and the issues - which probably is the main issue in Flordia - too young to know and to appreciate the fight. But that is a sell job -- and I don't see much selling. When I heard what Washington did in this regard, I figured it was not a swift move - just before the election (the new rules went into place July 1). Not to throw the Cubans into the spanish speeking group (but I will), spanish speaking Americans is like 25% of the population. I have been keenly aware of that - for investment purposes. Unfortunately the likes of GE own Spanish broadcasters - and I doubt that those would have great impact on the GE bottomline... so I continue my quest.. for me swamp! (Flordia-Swamp-Shrek thingy!)
Well another side of life for sure.
