I don't want to wait another 2 years either. This could happen this month for all I know. It could be responsible for the renewed interest. I just know that there are all kinds of moves being made in the industry to centralize music/entertainment sources and they will open the door for this kind of change by Hypster and the other music services to start charging without losing all of their clients.

Napster is already charging and doing well. The others are going to follow. They just have to coordinate how they're going to simultaneously start charging without having the artists start gouging and without making it appear to the government that they're trying to corner the music market or otherwise create any type of monopoly.
