I've never tried starting tomatoes this late. I don't think there's any reason they wouldn't grow, though, and if we have a warm fall--which I think we deserve after this awful June--you could end up with a decent crop. Maybe a few cherries--they mature faster once they bloom--and some "mid season" varieties; they also mature faster.

You could give Cross Country a call, asking for advice. I suspect they're not all that far away from you, so if they happen to have a few plants left--they say they're out of stock for the year, but you never know--you could drive over and pick 'em up.
