Just to note, as I have many times before, that Cortex does not exist in a vacuum, there is a context. The context is the many hundreds of projects being offered to Big Pharma for licensing. It is incorrect to assume all DD was completed in months past, since BP's are wading through multiple DD processes. A VC I was talking to a couple weeks ago noted that his small team was engaged in 75 due diligence appraisals, and was overwhelmed.

And even when DD is completed, there is then the multiple inputs going into any licensing discussion, they all want to assert their importance to the process. As a CEO of a company which recently completed a deal said to me yesterday: "There are a hundred different ways a deal can go off the rails."
