It's rather straight forward, blockbuster is the movie term for a mega hit. Would MGM or whomever is the equivilent of the day rather go with "Blockbuster" or "Netflix". Blockbuster describes a main stream hit, netflix describes a fly by nite operation that will eventally die a horrible agonizing death along with all the other dot com bodies that litter wall street.
