The company is run for the benefit of its managers and employess. Not share holders.

Managers yes..........employees no. Except for a small minority..... I think employees get taken advantage of. Most tolerate things.....forever hoping the dangled carrot (options) will he caught. It rarely is. What was the strike price of the employee options "dangled" this year? Anyone?
