In another 2 weeks, expert disclosures due.

The trademark opposition by TASER against LNGT application of Dazer Laser trademark.

TASER changed their lawyer on the 10th Jun after TASER's motion to compel discovery had been rejected by the trademark office. Not once, but twice. Good job LNGT !
Quote from Trademark office : "This proceeding has moved forward less than three months into the discovery period, and opposer has already filed two motions to compel discovery, both of which have been denied. Accordingly, the Board, in exercising its inherent authority to regulate the conduct of its
proceedings, hereby precludes opposer from filing any further motions to compel without obtaining permission to so file in advance from the Board in a telephone conference between the parties and the Board attorney assigned to this case."

Not sure if TASER can make it in time for the expert disclosures which is due soon, after replacing their lawyers.

A final judgement on denial of the opposition, and award of the trademark Dazer Laser will be great for LNGT. And create a new media buzz.

Please Note:
"Laser Energetics, Inc. has filed an application in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office ("USPTO"), seeking a federal trademark registration on the mark "Dazer-Laser". The trademark examiner approved the application and published it for opposition. Taser International, Inc. ("Taser") filed an opposition to the registration (the "Opposition Proceeding"), arguing that registration of the "Dazer-Laser" mark would create a likelihood of confusion with Taser's registered trademarks. The Opposition Proceeding is now being litigated in the USPTO, before the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board, and LEI is vigorously defending it. Nothing in the Opposition Proceeding, whatever the outcome, would affect or impair LEI's ownership of the proprietary technology for the Dazer-Laser and the company’s ability to market its product. The Opposition Proceeding involves only a challenge to registration of the trademark."
