imo, AK does not even look at detail like blogs, or even how the qtrax interface works, if it does, or does not. They said they would put up a blog, because that's what people told them they wanted, that's all. It's a 'reaction' to something, it isn't something they been planning for...they gave themselves 14 days to do that and everything else. They NEVER get things done in that sort of timeframe, again, the corporate announcement was probably a 'reaction'.
When dealing with this sort of modus operandi, if you lay something on the line and say "look, I'm tired of this, I want to hear you say you'll get this done by 30th June, or that's it, and what's more I want you to put it in writing", what you will get, imo, is an answer like "sure thing", you'll then get the words and you could even get them in writing. It doesn't mean it is going to happen though.
AK's personal focus would be solely and totally on negotiating finance, not on anything else. I wonder whether he'd remember they said they'd have a blog up by today...last thing in his mind, I would have thought.
That's how it works, imo, that's why you have these outcomes.
"A blog opens on 27th June" - that's specific.
"a blog opens on or before 27th June" - is not specific.
In every place I've worked, deadline is a date, one date, not a moveable 'on or before' feast. When I see 'on or before' I know it isn't serious, and not a likely outcome, and that's exactly what has happened. OK, give them another day and see if we're wrong, but does it matter? The damage is done, it was done on 16th June.
