Still not sure of the effect of those ads, right now most national polls show Kerry down by 2 or 3 points, not too much to worry about, within the margin of error, more importantly the very accurate zogby poll has Kerry ahead in the electoral college 286 to 214

right now i don't feel too confident or too scared, just in the middle, i think Kerry survived the swift boat blitz, but it did cause him to waste time and lose any momentum he could garner before the convention

however if it makes some independents to rally behind him in the end then the ads were a mistake

just not sure right now, he has always been a strong finisher, after the convention, we better see some action from the Kerry campaign, the independents are just sitting there begging to be convinced, hopefully Kerry can get the job done
