This is hard to believe... those protests in Iran that you see on T.V. may have been inspired by the election of Barack Obama... CNN's Bill Schneider to Don Lemon

"Obama of course doing the best he can, and in a difficult position"

Schneider: "It has to be intensely frustrating to look at those brave protesters who are defying threats of bloodshed, the pictures are utterly stirring to Americans, we all feel frustrated that the Unites States cannot do more in this situation,

"Obama's election may have played a role in inspiring those demonstrators, because many of the reformers saw a possibility an opening, a new relationship with the United States with this new President."

Don Lemon ups the ante:
"There was an editorial meeting here on Friday with the Reverend Jesse Jackson and he says that he believes that the President's speech in Cairo to the Muslim world may have inspired many of these people as well to take up arms and do this"

Schneider: "That's right"
Hey Bill, I think those demonstrators may have been inspired by the overthrow of Saddam Hussein and Iraq having elections, it is their next door neighbor is it not?

Just when I though CNN had done some good coverage yesterday with following the videos and monitoring the Tweets that were coming in from Iran...
