Ran the vin in Carfax, this was definately a V-8 5.7 which would show that you are correct (or just a super random coincidence in random numbers..lol).

Still have hope that maybe he did create another engine, but I also agree he should explain that. Possibly he lied to the inspection station so they would not get to curious and insist on looking under the hood. Could be he dropped the v8 in a mustang and it was originally a four banger and they just used the vin to populate that area. Either way it should be explained to the public (He doesn't owe us anything seeing as how we are invested with RVGD and not H2PG) Although Peter may want to step up and coax Doug into throwing us a bone.
