Rockwell Collins To Supply IFE Systems For Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand picked Rockwell Collins to supply audio and video on-demand inflight entertainment equipment on the carrier's eight Boeing 777-200ERs.

The latest deal follows a decision by Air New Zealand to retrofit seven Boeing 747-400s with Rockwell's package -- eTES. The first eTES-equipped 777 should start service by September. The OEM said eTES is designed to allow carriers to add functionality, such as connectivity, email and Internet access, to every seat in any configuration. -LR
