sure.. no problem... there are anecdotal limits that can surely be cited. I could cite many instances where people have been given time-outs for purely political points of view, too, which were not personal, inciting malice, or even had bad breath, but that is not even close to the point.
It is sort of like the dilemna that policemen deal with daily... when is the discourse of society within reason and when is it time to tase the conduct.
Talking about sucking obama's unit is distasteful, but one could make the point that he has been serviced regularly by most of the press for a year or so now. Whether that is a valid statement or not is what the message board discourse is all about. The guy had to make some tough calls before he even knew where the strike zone was. I do not fault him for his choices one bit. Had i been presented with the same set of fucked up realities, i am not so sure that he didn't actually make many wise decisions. Either way, he steered the course back onto what he perceived to be the best road, and we are left to evaluate the consequences.
He didn't veer as far left as many thought he would, which surprisingly doesn't bother many on the left. To me, he is doing okay, but i would love to see him govern a bit more, and rule a little less. He doesn't appear to move many chess pieces, he just buys new ones on credit so far.
but that is neither good nor bad in my view, i have no perspective yet on how to evaluate it, and neither do his detractors. the economy needs to grow again, and if by chance it does, all the borrowing will be forgiven, as was the debt relief due to the technology boom of the 90's.
