Marked Improvement Noted in the OTC-BB Market
In August 2000 there were approximately 80 OTC-BB
traded companies trading between 0.01 - 0.05 from
the dimgroup.com database of over 2500 OTC-BB
companies. The number of companies trading in the
0.01-0.05 range continued to increase consistently
and was above 300 in late December 2000.
On January 02, 2001 the number decreased slightly
to 290. Since then we have seen a steady decline
in OTCBB cellar dwellers.
The week began with 253 companies in the .01-.05
range. On Tuesday Jan 16,2001 Nasdaq lost .30%,
OTC-BB issues trading .01-.05 were reduced to 242.
On Wednesday Jan 17,2001 the Nasdaq gained 2.45%,
OTC-BB issues trading .01-.05 reduced to 234. On
Thursday Jan 18, 2001 OTC-BB issues had another
good day. The number of issues in the .01-.05 level
were now reduced to 221.
The above figures indicate an improving OTC-BB
market.
