BBDA mentioned in stock email to investors...

Just wanted to take a minute to post the section of my latest stock email just sent out to investors that is in regards to BBDA....

My second play, BBDA, also has quite a bit going on...

As I said in my stock email last week, I expected the BBDA sponsorship of Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy to be renewed, and indeed, the company announced just that on Monday in time for Hardy's fight yesterday afternoon. Hardy was a clear under-dog in this fight but won via a split-decision. Congrats to Dan Hardy and BBDA! Key points from this press release:
- There were some concerns as the former owners of Bebida used this MMA vehicle to raise shareholder loyalty and share value, we on the other hand want to use this Dan Hardy model to continue where they left off by adding marketing leveraging items, such as tee shirts, hats, bandanas and a whole host of Items that will be available at future fights as well as our online store soon to open.
- We cannot and will not do any promotions or marketing for any of our brands unless there is a return on investment that is measurable.
- Dan will sign 50 of the original Piranha bandanas that will be shipped to Bebida in NC for a competition giveaway in July.

Following the announcement of the Dan Hardy contract renewal, investors received news on Tuesday of a "bonus" sponsorship opportunity that BBDA had taken advantage of, in sponsoring Andy Ponstein in the Camping World Truck Series event being held at the Michigan International Speedway in the Michigan 200. The event concluded yesterday with Ponstein finishing 28th. The event was broadcast live on Speed TV and the Piranha Water logo adorned the hood of the truck (http://d.yimg.com/a/p/ap/20090612/capt.bdac83a0f53b4d4797b29fe9a42f7b6e.nascar_gm_cutbacks_racing_mico101.jpg), however, from the sounds of the release, this may have been a one-time sponsorship deal. If any information comes out clarifying this, I will pass it along.

The release also announced that Dillon Oliver will be signing Autographs and displaying his car at the June 13th 116th street festival in NYC alongside the ESPN booth. Pictures of BBDA at the event are just starting to hit the boards from investors that attended, and I would fully expect an early week press release announcing the success of the event in terms of sales or free bottles given away. The last BBDA press release last week hit the wires on Wednesday, and announced that Flair Beverages Inc., of New York, will be an official distributor of the growing Bebida and Potencia product lines.

Key points from this press release:
- We are very excited to workwith Flair Beverages. They are one of the largest 'cash and carry' distributors in New York and sell over 5 million cases of beer and beverages annually.
- Flair will distribute Potencia Energy Drink, and within the week Piranha Water, under Oak Beverages, who is the primary distributor for New York.

I think with all the news surrounding BBDA last week, and the news expected to come out this week, we have a good chance for BBDA to see an increase in pps with the possibility of a run. With or without an increase or run, I still maintain that BBDA is an accumulate and hold for me, as the news seems to get better and better with every release.
